In the meantime, a new movement in the UK has set off alarm bells again. In the Reddit community dedicated to the console, a user has shared images of a catalog from retailer Argos that features the ROG Xbox Ally with a price of £499.99 and a prominent “Reserve now” message.

A leak with curious errors

The material shown is somewhat confusing, as the second image describes the device as “Asus Xbox Rog Ally”, an incorrect name. Additionally, the catalog includes a screenshot of the ROG Xbox Ally X model (the premium version) instead of the standard model referenced in the offer. This appears to be an error in the retailer’s layout, unless it’s a deliberate leak.

What can we expect from the official announcement?

Although global prices have not been confirmed, this £499.99 figure would serve as a reference for the base model in the UK, which would put its European price at around €549-599 depending on taxes and regional adjustments. In the case of Latin America, we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see the strategy ASUS follows with distribution.

In any case, the leak is consistent with rumors that suggested ASUS and Microsoft plan to reveal official prices this week, something that several users had already hinted at in forums and communities.
