EA Sports FC 26 keeps adding new features before its release, and one of the most anticipated ones has just been confirmed: a new batch of historic icons will arrive in Ultimate Team mode, featuring legends from both men’s and women’s football. The image shows a total of 12 new additions, including names like Andrés Iniesta, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Francesco Totti, and Alex Morgan.

This move reinforces EA’s focus on giving more prominence to women’s football figures on an equal footing with traditional icons. Additionally, these are footballers from different generations and styles, which further expands the variety of options for forming unique teams.

All of them will have their own icon cards, although the exact stats have not been revealed yet. The community expects each one to have different versions adapted to different stages of their career, as is usual in this mode.
Beyond the new legends, EA has confirmed deep improvements in the gameplay of EA SPORTS FC 26. The game features more fluid dribbling, more explosive runs, realistic volumetric animations, and an AI-based goalkeeper system, in addition to new Play Styles and Player Roles.
It also debuts a competitive preset for Ultimate Team and Clubs, along with authentic gameplay for Career mode, which aims to recreate football with maximum fidelity. All this is complemented by Player Archetypes, new live events, dynamic tournaments, and the revamped Manager Live system, which introduces updated challenges based on real football. All of this is backed by more than 20,000 players and over 300 official licenses.
