Bandai Namco has taken advantage of its latest event dedicated to the franchise to make it clear that Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will remain very much alive throughout 2026. Alongside the announcement of Dragon Ball Age 1000, the company confirmed a new paid DLC and several free updates that will significantly expand the current experience.
The plan involves combining premium content with accessible improvements for all players, reinforcing both the individual aspect and the combat and customization options. The roadmap already has approximate dates and some specific details.
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Expands Content in 2026 with DLC and Free Modes
The paid DLC, scheduled for this summer, will add new characters, costumes, moves, stages, and modes. Among the confirmed fighters are Super Android 17, King Piccolo, and Bardock Super Saiyan, as well as special outfits like Young Gohan. Additionally, new super attacks for Goku and Vegeta will be incorporated into the Custom Battle mode.
In parallel, the game will receive free updates: the Survival Mode will arrive in the spring, while the Mission 100 Mode will be available from January 26th, offering individual challenges with multiple characters and clear nods to classic deliveries in the saga. Bandai Namco has confirmed that this content will arrive on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, with versions for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 to follow later.
With over five million copies sold, the continued support reinforces the intention to maintain Dragon Ball Sparking Zero as one of the flagship titles of the franchise throughout 2026 and beyond.
