Spartan Survivors, the popular auto-shooter inspired by the Halo universe, continues to gain followers on PC and is already working on an optimized version for Xbox consoles. Its developers have confirmed that they are redesigning the game’s graphics engine, created in a completely customized way, to ensure better performance in the future console version.
Although it’s not an official Microsoft or 343 Industries title, its aesthetic and setting have quickly captured the attention of the fan community. The game can be tried for free right now in its current PC version.
The Xbox version will bring technical improvements and may include achievements
The team has explained that they are rebuilding part of the graphics engine with a focus on the Xbox version, which will allow for a more fluid experience and better adaptation to console hardware. Although there is no release date yet, this technical process is one of the last steps before its definitive arrival on Xbox Series.
Regarding the achievement system, it is in the study phase, and although there is no official confirmation yet, the developers have acknowledged that it is one of the features most requested by players. The possibility of integrating Xbox achievements is on the table, although it has not been confirmed for the launch.
Spartan Survivors combines the constant action of auto-shooters with a setting that pays homage to the Halo saga, using enemies, environments, and weapons that directly evoke the franchise, although without using official content. Its success is due in part to the fidelity with which it recreates that universe, and now it seeks to make the leap to console while maintaining that spirit intact.
