New biome and more insects will arrive in Grounded 2 in its next big update

Grounded 2 continues on its path through early access and is preparing a next quite powerful update.

We’ve officially entered 2026, a year that promises to be even more powerful in terms of video game releases, especially considering we’re close to the 25th anniversary of the Xbox brand, and Microsoft is preparing many surprises.

The list of confirmed games for the coming months is enormous, although we also expect to see a wave of new content for titles that have been on the market for a while and aim to stay alive thanks to updates, with Grounded 2 being one of the best examples.

Grounded 2 has big additions in the works

This title was announced last year to arrive in a state of early access for PC and consoles, similar to what we had with the first game in the previous generation.

Obsidian is still working hard to improve Grounded 2, and in its next update, juicy new features are promised, such as a new biome to venture into, new weapons and armor to craft, as well as the addition of new insects in the garden like wasps and black ants.

“Going to a new biome, a new area of the park, allows us to delve deeper into what makes the park unique from the outside. For us, that means that mix of really organic structures, as well as that artificial touch, that this was designed by humans on a human level”.

Grounded 2 is expected to continue improving throughout this year, and we hope they don’t take too long to confirm the release date of patch 1.0, which will allow us to mark the game as “complete”.
