The release date for NBA 2K26 is officially confirmed for September 5, 2025, and the game will be available on a variety of platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Basketball fans and gamers can choose from different special editions, each with its own set of features and benefits.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Angel Reese, and Carmelo Anthony are the athletes featured on the covers of the different editions of NBA 2K26. Covers that, as every year, will correspond to each of the available editions for reservation.
Star-Studded Trio for the New NBA 2K26 Covers
The Standard Edition features Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on its cover, while the WNBA Edition, exclusive to GameStop in the United States, showcases Angel Reese. The Superstar Edition, on the other hand, has Carmelo Anthony as its main face. Additionally, all three athletes appear together on the cover of the Leave No Doubt Edition, a special edition that will only be available for a limited time.
The NBA 2K26 Superstar Edition will cost $99.99, which will likely translate to €109.99 in Europe. This edition includes 100,000 VC, in-game digital content, and a one-week early access, allowing players to start playing in late August. The Leave No Doubt edition is the most expensive, priced at $149.99 in the US, and includes the game, 35,000 VC, the Season 1 Pro Pass, the Summer Pass, and various digital content, plus a one-week early access.
It’s important to note that the Leave No Doubt Edition and Superstar Edition will only be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, while the Standard Edition will be released on all PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo platforms.
