This summer, Minecraft is more active than ever. Mojang has released a series of updates that range from flying mounts to graphical improvements for the Bedrock version, not to mention exclusive Realms Plus content and new tools for capturing memorable moments within the game. All of this is accompanied by the premiere of the upcoming movie based on the block universe.

Now available to all Minecraft: Bedrock Edition players, these updates give the experience a complete overhaul, with more options to explore, create, fight, or simply enjoy the game’s revamped aesthetics.

Minecraft Updates Available this Summer

Chase the Skies – New Playable Content

• The new game drop focuses on the sky with the introduction of the happy ghast, a flying creature that you can ride solo or with company. Explore the Nether, find a dry ghast, hydrate it in the Overworld, and breed it with snowballs to turn it into an aerial mount. Additionally, harnesses, new music by Amos Roddy, a player locator, and the ability to tie multiple mobs together, including boats, have been added.

Vibrant Visuals – Graphical Upgrade for Bedrock

• One of the most impactful visual changes to date. Vibrant Visuals transforms the game’s appearance with directional lighting, volumetric fog, shadows, and pixelated reflections, and more. It maintains the classic style while taking it to a new level without losing its identity. Available now on devices compatible with Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.

Vibrant Memories Camera Add-On – To Capture Your Best Moments

• Available in the Minecraft Marketplace, this tool allows you to save customized camera angles, modify the weather, control the time of day, and add music to your captures. The images are saved in your personal album, perfect for those who want to take advantage of the new visual aspect.

Realms Plus – New Subscription Content
Realms Plus subscribers can now add Chase the Skies and Vibrant Visuals to their personal worlds. Additionally, two new experiences have been added:

• The One Slime Block Adventure (by Mush Co): an adventure with 5 unique bosses, 6 dimensions, and tons of slime.

• Aquaculture (by Team Metallurgy): adds 60 new aquatic creatures, rare equipment, advanced cooking and fishing mechanics.

All of this content is now available in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and can be enjoyed on Xbox, PC, or any compatible platform. Mojang continues to expand the Minecraft universe with new ways to play, explore, and create.
