Microsoft Rewards reduces daily task points in several regions (check if it affects you)

Regular users of Microsoft Rewards have detected a significant change in the last few hours. The three daily tasks that appear on the program’s panel have reduced the number of points earned by completing them in several regions.

These activities are part of the daily routine of Microsoft’s rewards system and usually involve clicking on a link, answering a small question, or completing a brief survey. Many players use them every day to accumulate points that can later be exchanged for Xbox gift cards or subscriptions.

Microsoft Rewards cuts daily task points in half

Until now, each of these three daily activities awarded 10 points, allowing players to earn 30 points per day if they completed all of them. However, several users have found that the reward has been reduced to 5 points per activity, leaving the total at 15 points per day.

• This represents a 50% reduction in the number of points earned through these tasks. The change seems to have been applied already in many regions where Microsoft Rewards is available, and some users have even seen the reduction reflected when checking the progress of the next day’s activities.

There is no official list published by Microsoft, but based on user reports in the last few hours, the change appears to have been applied in most regions where Microsoft Rewards works. The regions that have already confirmed the reduction include:

• United Kingdom

• Canada

• Spain

• France

• Germany

• Italy

• Australia

In all of these regions, the three daily tasks have gone from giving 10 points each to just 5 points, leaving the total at 15 points per day instead of 30.

If this adjustment is maintained permanently, players who complete these tasks every day could lose around 500 points per month compared to what they used to earn.

However, Microsoft Rewards still offers other ways to earn points, such as daily searches, challenges within the Xbox ecosystem, or special promotions. For players who participate consistently, it is still possible to accumulate points and exchange them for Xbox balance or Xbox Game Pass subscriptions.
