Following the successful global launch of the ROG Xbox Ally and its Ally X version, Microsoft and ASUS are already preparing a new phase of updates to further expand the possibilities of their portable consoles. Both companies have confirmed that the device will continue to evolve with improvements focused on performance, autonomy, and game optimization.
According to an official statement on Xbox Wire, the alliance between the two brands will bring firmware and advanced features in the coming months. Among them, the Default Game Profiles stand out, a tool that will allow applying pre-set performance and energy adjustments according to the game, automatically adapting the experience in selected titles.
The ROG Xbox Ally will receive AI scaling and new technical improvements
The most notable update will be Auto SR, a neural scaling technology based on artificial intelligence that will improve image sharpness without affecting performance, especially in portable mode. This feature will arrive in early 2026, accompanied by other innovations such as an improved experience in docked mode and the incorporation of Highlight Reveal, an option to generate automatic clips of your best gaming moments.
Microsoft and ASUS are also working on extending game compatibility, increasing battery life, and continuing to optimize the operating system to offer a smoother experience. Everything indicates that the ROG Xbox Ally will continue to grow after its launch, consolidating itself as the reference for portable gaming with Xbox DNA.
