Metaphor: ReFantazio, the ambitious RPG developed by Atlus, continues to demonstrate its commercial solidity. According to SEGA’s confirmation at its annual investor meeting, the game has already surpassed two million copies distributed and sold digitally worldwide.
The figure includes both physical units shipped and digital downloads accumulated up to March 31, 2025, thus consolidating the title’s good performance since its release. The last official update placed sales at one million on the day of launch, indicating that the game has continued to grow strongly in the following months.
Metaphor: ReFantazio Doubles Sales and Aims for Long-Term Success
This new data is part of the internal documentation published by SEGA SAMMY on June 18. It confirms that Metaphor: ReFantazio has reached 2 million copies between physical shipments and combined digital sales, representing significant growth for a new IP in the JRPG genre.
The game is available on Xbox Series, PC (Microsoft Store and Steam), PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4, and was one of the most anticipated releases from Atlus after its official presentation in 2023. A few weeks ago, the game made its debut on Xbox Game Pass, so it seems that once its sales goal was achieved, its arrival on the service is expanding new commercial objectives.
