The return of one of the most influential sagas in history has quickly demonstrated its strength. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, available since August 28 on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC (Steam), has already surpassed the mark of one million copies distributed globally in just one week.
This remake recovers the essence of the 2004 classic, but takes it to a new technical standard. Konami has bet on next-generation graphics, immersive 3D sound, and a real-time damage system that reflects injuries, burns, or impacts with a level of detail never seen before in the saga.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, a faithful remake with new features
Although it maintains the original story and the spirit of survival and stealth that made it legendary, this new version adds options to adapt to current generations. The classic top-down camera is complemented by a third-person perspective closer to modern standards, offering a more immersive and flexible experience.
Additionally, each version of the game includes exclusive extra content: on Xbox Series, the minigame “Bomb Snake vs. Monkey” is available, while on PlayStation 5 and PC, “Snake vs. Monkey” is included. The iconic Secret Theater from Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence also returns, a nod that veteran fans will fondly remember.
Looking to the future, Konami has already confirmed that in fall 2025, the online multiplayer mode FOX HUNT will be added, expanding the game’s possibilities beyond the main campaign. With this start, it’s clear that Snake’s return has generated enormous interest among both veteran fans of the saga and new players.
The one million copies achieved in such a short time consolidate Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater as one of the most powerful releases of the year.
