The new patch for Battlefield 6 is now available and comes with the Winter Offensive event, which gives the game a winter look and adds temporary content for the next few days. Update 1.1.3.0 is one of the largest updates the game has received since its launch, and it brings a massive list of improvements that affect multiplayer, Redsec mode, and the overall experience on Xbox and other platforms.
Before you can play, you’ll need to download a significant update, but the effort is worth it. The studio has reviewed everything from animations and collisions to sound, weapon behavior, AI, and game stability.
Winter Offensive and the most notable changes in patch 1.1.3.0 for Battlefield 6
The Winter Offensive event transforms the Empire State map with a snowy style and adds special variants for Domination, Conquest, and Gauntlet modes, including a temporary “freeze” mechanic. It also includes a limited 11-level battle pass with free and exclusive rewards for BF Pro players, including the Ice Pick, new skins, experience boosters, and themed content.
Beyond the event, the update focuses on a general overhaul of the game. The most sensitive point is audio, which receives significant adjustments to make enemy footsteps clearer and more consistent at different distances and situations. It also fixes issues where sound would disappear or mix with incorrect effects.
More changes and improvements
- The multiplayer mode receives corrections for movement, animations, physics, problems with dragging allies, impact registration errors, and inconsistencies when using melee weapons or jumping between vehicles. Vehicles, on the other hand, adjust damage zones, seats, compasses, and audio, while weapons gain stability, changes in recoil, improvements in accessories, and fixes for visual bugs. Even gadgets, the portable mortar, grenades, climbing, and supply behavior are reviewed to improve combat fluidity.
Maps and modes also undergo a thorough review: new capture zones, adjusted limits, more coherent respawns, and changes designed to balance Breakthrough, Conquest, and Escalation. Portal’s AI improves its response to cover, objectives, and reviving allies, while Redsec solves respawn errors, deployment towers, and armament logic.
