Since the new Marvel-inspired game with a 2D pixel-art style was confirmed a few months ago, we haven’t stopped getting excited with each new announcement. Recently, it’s been revealed that some very interesting news is on the way.

We’re talking about Marvel Cosmic Invasion, a title backed by the experts at Dotemu, the ones responsible for bringing back classics like TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge and Streets of Rage 4. Now, they’re presenting a new adventure that brings together some of the biggest heroes from the Marvel universe.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion showcases Beta Ray Bill and Silver Surfer in action

To mark the San Diego Comic-Con 2025, new material from Marvel Cosmic Invasion was shown, including an amazing preview where we got to see Beta Ray Bill and the one and only Silver Surfer in action, joining the roster of playable characters.

So far, we’ve seen numerous previews that have been gradually revealing more details about the game, raising our expectations. It looks sensational and perfectly captures that classic and retro spirit, both in the characters and the gameplay, which seems tailor-made for fans of the genre. There’s no concrete release date yet, but it’s scheduled for late 2025. Of course, we’ll be here to tell you all about it.
