Marathon can be played for free from today until March 2 on Xbox Series, PS5 and PC

If you were curious about trying testing Marathon before its official release, this is your chance. Bungie has activated the Server Slam event, a free early access phase that allows you to play the extraction shooter for a limited time on Xbox Series, PS5, and PC.

The trial is available from today, February 26th, and will end on March 2nd, so time is limited. This is a pre-launch version, with the official release scheduled for March 5th, and serves as both a server test and a sneak peek at the final content.

How to play Marathon for free until March 2nd

• During the Server Slam, players can access several of the game’s main features, including competitive maps and part of the progression system. Bungie aims to test the online infrastructure before the full launch and, at the same time, allow the community to experience their proposal firsthand.

Access is digital and does not require a prior purchase of the game to participate in this promotional period. Once it ends on March 2nd, access will be closed until the official launch. If you were unsure about whether Marathon is for you, this weekend is the perfect time to find out without any cost.
