It’s been two years since the release of Lords of the Fallen, and the studio Hexworks wants to celebrate the anniversary by sharing some impressive stats about the game’s performance. The title has surpassed 2 million copies sold and has a community of over 5.5 million Lampbearers (the name given to players within the game’s universe).
Since its release, the team has launched over 70 updates, adding content, balancing combat, and improving overall stability. Some of the most notable features introduced over the past two years include Boss Rush Mode, Modifiers, and the long-awaited co-op mode, which allows players to enjoy the entire adventure with a friend.
Lords of the Fallen 2 has a release date: 2026
In April 2025, Hexworks released version 2.0 of the game, considered by many to be its definitive relaunch thanks to the graphical, technical, and stability improvements introduced. With this major patch, Lords of the Fallen reached its peak and solidified its position as one of the most important dark fantasy RPGs of the generation.
Now, the studio has reiterated that its next goal will be the release of a sequel planned for 2026, a project that aims to expand the mythology and elevate the scale of the created universe:
“Thanks for walking among the shadows with us,” concludes the studio’s official message, celebrating two years of constant support from the community.
