Lies of P Changes Access to DLC Overture with New Update, Now Accessible

The developers of Lies of P, Neowiz and Round8 Studio, have released a new update with significant adjustments for both the base game and its expansion Overture. The version 1.9.0.0 of the title is now available and modifies, among other things, the way to access DLC in the second playthrough, making it faster and less dependent on traditional progression.

Until now, to start the expansion Overture in a new run, it was necessary to have reached Chapter 9, which meant almost reaching the end of the game. With the new patch, this changes: now you can access the DLC content from Chapter 5 if you’re in a second playthrough (New Game+). Just advance until the area known as the Pilgrim’s Path, and from there it is possible to start the expansion early. When the DLC was launched we explained how to access it, now here we tell you the new way to do it without going crazy.

This change improves replayability and significantly reduces the time players needed to enjoy the additional content again, something highly valued by those who want to get the most out of their second run.

The new patch improves DLC access and lowers difficulty in NG+

In addition to the change in DLC access, the patch also modifies certain aspects of the game’s general balance, especially in New Game Plus mode. Some enemies are now less aggressive, and several statistics have been adjusted to soften some difficulty peaks, both in the main campaign and in the expansion Overture.

• Neowiz had already anticipated that they were listening to the community regarding the level of demand for the game, especially in additional runs, and this update seems to confirm that they are committed to improving the experience without losing their challenging identity.
• On the other hand, minor technical errors have also been corrected, including a bug that prevented advancing if a beer bottle could not be delivered to Salao. After installing the patch, just go back and talk to this character to unlock the scene and continue the story normally.
• If you haven’t tried the expansion yet, Overture presents itself as a prolongation of the Souls-like experience with an even darker atmosphere, new weapons, unknown enemies, and a narrative that intertwines with the final straight of the main game. In our previous coverage, we highlighted its excellent design and rhythm, and with these adjustments the DLC gains even more.

How to access the Lies of P DLC Overture after the last patch step by step:

• Start a new game in New Game Plus mode.
  
  Only players who have finished Lies of P at least once can access this option. It is essential to be in your second playthrough.

• Advance to Chapter 5 of the main story.
  
  The new DLC access is available from this point. It is not necessary to reach the end of the game as before.

• Head to the “Pilgrim’s Path”.
  
  This area is accessible during Chapter 5. Once there, an option will appear to start the content of Overture directly from that location.

• Interact with the DLC entrance point.
  
  This is a specific door or area that, if you meet the requirements, will activate the new content without needing to advance further in the story.

• Start the expansion Overture.
  
  From that moment on, you can enjoy all the new bosses, scenarios, weapons, and narrative events that the expansion offers, without waiting for the final phases of the main game.
