Leaked Season 2 of ARC Raiders: new modes, challenges and skins on the way

The first season of ARC Raiders has just come to an end, but very concrete leaks about what Embark Studios has in store for Season 2 are already circulating. The information, not yet officially confirmed, points to a clear renewal of the game’s competitive content, with new events, weekly challenges, and unprecedented aesthetic rewards.

The Trials function as the game’s competitive axis, replacing traditional modes: instead of closed matches, players must complete specific objectives within the game world to earn points and climb the rankings. And everything indicates that the next season will take another step in that direction.

New events, weekly challenges, and rewards in ARC Raiders

• According to the leak, Season 2 of the Trials would start on December 22, 2025, and introduce a new random map event called Toxic Swamp. This “toxic swamp” would appear in the regular rotation of modifiers and could be chosen when available. Although its rules have not been detailed yet, it is expected that certain areas will be restricted and the player’s health will drain rapidly when staying in them, forcing route and strategy adaptations.

As for the challenges, there is talk of three new types of weekly trials, closely tied to temporary events and recent content such as Cold Snap:

• Thermal stone collection, probably exclusive to the Toxic Swamp.

• Throwing snowballs at Bombers and Bastions, reinforcing interaction with specific enemies.

• Searching for Raider containers in snowy areas, encouraging exploration in specific areas of the map.

All this content would come with new cosmetic rewards, including the “Alpine” skin, already shown by insiders on social media and directly linked to progression in this new season.

For now, Embark Studios has not officially confirmed these details, but the leaked information fits with the recent evolution of ARC Raiders and its commitment to dynamic events and integrated challenges. If confirmed, Season 2 will mark a new step in consolidating the trial system as the central pillar of the experience.
