It’s been years since I last used the Kodi UWP app on Xbox; in fact, I think I only used it during the first few years after it was released on the console’s store. You know, the console app frenzy that swept through 2015 and 2017. Although there are other options available now, this media manager remains a solid choice and one of the best solutions for Microsoft’s console.
In fact, it was on the verge of disappearing due to a lack of volunteers, but fortunately, it seems that there are still people willing to invest time in the console version.
HDR and Important Fixes for Xbox
The thing is that the app has been updated to version Omega, offering a plethora of general changes, some of which apply to the Xbox One version (and by extension, Xbox Series). You can find the full list of changes on GitHub, although to update, you simply need to use the traditional method from the console.
Updating this version should be straightforward, however, the team warns:
The implementation of applications on different platforms (especially Microsoft Store) can vary significantly due to circumstances beyond our control, so be patient and the update will inevitably arrive.
