The first Kingdom Come: Deliverance has been rumored for a possible return for months, but since last summer, no clear news had emerged. Now, a new leak puts the medieval RPG’s re-release back on the table, this time with a fairly concrete release window for next-gen consoles.
According to information shared by a Reddit user who claims to have access to internal data, the remastered version is slated for February 2026, coinciding with the eighth anniversary of the original release. If confirmed, the official announcement shouldn’t be too far away, especially considering that symbolic alignment on the calendar.
The Kingdom Come: Deliverance remaster would arrive with no major gameplay changes
According to this leak, there’s no need to expect a thorough overhaul of the game. Everything points to this edition being very similar to the current PC version, focused mainly on technical improvements rather than new content. In other words, no additional expansions or substantial changes to systems or structure.
Where there would be clear progress is in the technical department. The arrival on PS5 and Xbox Series would allow players to enjoy the game with higher resolution, reduced loading times, and a more stable frame rate, surpassing the performance of the PS4 and Xbox One versions. For those who didn’t play it back in the day (or want to revisit Bohemia with better conditions), this version would be the most convenient way to do so on console.
For now, there’s no official confirmation from Warhorse Studios, so it’s best to treat this information as what it is: a well-contextualized rumor, but not an official announcement. Still, the timing and lack of recent news make February 2026 a very credible date for the return of one of the most unique RPGs of the previous generation.
