I've already been able to play The Outer Worlds 2 and I tell you firsthand that it seems to me the new epic of Obsidian for Xbox.

It’s true that Obsidian had an easier time with this sequel than with the first game. The foundation of The Outer Worlds was already very solid, and for its second installment, the goal was to build on everything that was good about the first game, refreshing and adding new ideas and substantial improvements, something they’ve more than achieved with The Outer Worlds 2.
Video Impressions
Over the past few days, I’ve been playing the game to share these first impressions with you, and I have to say that I’ve loved everything about it. Probably, we’re looking at one of Obsidian’s most mature works in recent years, where they give us a game that has all the bases to be one of those great RPGs that come out every now and then.
In some ways, it’s more Starfield than Starfield itself, not that one is better than the other, but it’s true that The Outer Worlds 2 puts you more in the role of being the commander of a ship and a crew, as well as their missions and the characters and stories we meet as we progress.
First Impressions of The Outer Worlds 2 for Xbox
Now, in its sequel, the branches of specialization, as well as the skills and editor, have been improved, all of which reminds us a bit more of Obsidian’s style, where we have a lot of freedom to create our character’s build. The interesting conversations and decision-making remain intact, and in this game, we take it a step further, with more alternative conversation options and, of course, a lot of humor, often mimicked with the story itself and its excellent B-movie and science fiction touch.
There are only a few weeks left until you can try it out, but until then, we’ve prepared a video where I can tell you firsthand what I think of the game after playing it for days. This time, I’ve played it on Xbox Series X and PC, and both experiences seem notable in terms of optimization, the game runs wonderfully, it almost seems like a final version, although it’s not.
Combat is another area that has improved. While the base is very similar to the first game, now everything is more organic, the combat feels more satisfying, and the use of our skills continues to add that extra layer of strategy that sets it apart from other games. The game comes with Spanish text and English voices, as well as Latin American Spanish text, to give options to all Spanish-speaking players.
The final game will be available on October 29th and will be one of the big releases for Xbox and Xbox Game Pass this year. Everything I’ve played has been great, and I’m clear that it’s the evolution the first game needed. I’m almost sure that those who enjoyed the first game will love this one, and those who are still unsure, I recommend giving it a chance when it launches, this The Outer Worlds 2 has all the ingredients to be a hit in 2025.
We thank Xbox Spain for providing the material to make this preview possible.
