The universe of Helldivers 2 continues to grow, and it does so at a crucial moment: just as the title has arrived on Xbox Series and a historic exchange of exclusives between Sony and Microsoft has taken place, Arrowhead has confirmed the arrival of a free expansion that will add significant gameplay novelties.

The update, titled In the Heart of Injustice, will be available to all players starting on September 2, 2025, and promises to change the way the game is played by taking the action to an environment never seen before.

Among the confirmed novelties, the following stand out:

• New location: The Shadowy Basin, a dark and labyrinthine underground scenario where air support will be limited.

• New enemies, including the fearsome Dragon Beetle, a flying insectoid creature that will attack in mid-air.

• New missions, such as escorting oil extraction vehicles between fields, which will add variety to operations.

• Additional content improvements, including the War Title Premium “Sand Devils”, with new weapons and armor sets (available from September 4 through purchase or in-game credits).
