Helldivers 2 lands officially on Xbox Series on August 26, 2025, with a notable twist: the game is published by Sony Interactive Entertainment under its PlayStation Publishing LLC label, making this release one of the most unique of the year for Microsoft’s platform.

The title, developed by Arrowhead Game Studios, offers a cooperative third-person experience for up to four players. The goal: fight for “Managed Democracy” in a galaxy plagued by deadly enemies, from giant insects to killer robots and aliens with mental powers. The Xbox Series version arrives with cross-play enabled, full optimization, and requires a constant connection and active subscription (Game Pass Core or Ultimate).

Available for €39.99, Helldivers 2 launches on Xbox in two editions: standard and Super Citizen Edition, both already available for pre-order on the Xbox Store. Players who pre-order the game will receive three exclusive armor sets:

• TR-7 Brand Ambassador – Galactic Frozen Yogurt Promotion.

• TR-62 Knight – Designed to dispense justice on any planet.

• TR-9 Democracy Rider – Because freedom can also be ridden.

The game stands out for its explosive combat system, the possibility of invoking lethal strategies during missions, and a persistent structure based on the Galactic War, where each victory or defeat affects the global collective progress.
