GTA 6 is back in the spotlight, and this time with signs pointing directly to its final development stretch. After years of waiting, leaks, and silence from Rockstar, indications are emerging that fit with the moment when a project of this size faces its final months before launch.
The most interesting thing is that we’re not talking about a baseless rumor. The information comes from real movements within the company itself, something that usually gives quite reliable clues about the state of development. And in this case, everything points to a very advanced phase.
GTA 6 is reportedly already in internal testing phase before its launch
According to a recent job posting by Rockstar India, the studio is looking for video game testers for “exciting projects”, which has led many to think directly of GTA 6. This type of process usually occurs in the final stages of development, when the game is almost complete and enters the polishing phase. It’s the moment when errors are corrected, performance is optimized, and details are adjusted before launch.
Additionally, Rockstar India’s role in the project is not insignificant. The studio is estimated to have around 1,600 developers within a global team of nearly 10,000 people, reflecting the enormous scale of production of the game. All this fits with a logical calendar if the launch is still planned for November 2026. In fact, it’s also expected that Rockstar will start showing more content over the next few months, probably in the summer, following their usual communication strategy.
For now, there’s no official confirmation about the exact state of development, but these signs reinforce the idea that GTA 6 is getting closer and closer to its release and that its launch shouldn’t suffer from further delays if everything stays on course.
