There are times when the Xbox Store surprises without warning, and this is one of them. In the last few hours, several users have detected that a beloved classic has appeared completely free, when its usual price is around 1.99 €.
In Generación Xbox, we’ve seen similar situations in the past, and when they happen, they tend to disappear as quickly as they arrive. So, if you’re interested, it’s best not to think too much about it because everything suggests it could be a one-time error.
DOOM 64 free on Xbox: how to download it before the price changes
The game in question is DOOM 64, a release that originally came to Nintendo 64 in 1997 and has become a highly valued piece within the saga over time. In this version, we face over 30 levels filled with demons, with improved weapons and secrets scattered throughout the map.
Right now, the title appears as free in digital format, which contrasts with its usual price. There is no official confirmation from Microsoft, so everything indicates that it could be a store error. Even so, if you access its file, you should be able to add it to your library at no cost.
Important: If you have problems claiming it through this link, do it directly from the Xbox app
They’ve already fixed the error and it can’t be downloaded:
