The year-end closure arrives with movement within one of the most powerful sagas in the sector that is not going through its best moment. After several months of comments, adjustments, and major decisions about its future, the team responsible is preparing an unusual gesture: opening its main content without cost to everyone, even if only for a limited time. It’s a clear way to seek more players, gather impressions, and give a boost to a title that has just launched its first major season.
At the same time, the company has implemented significant internal changes. Among them, a new publication model that abandons the annual alternation between Modern Warfare and the sub-series set in covert operations, and a support plan that promises to incorporate constant improvements over the next few months.
Free Trial and Double XP Event in Black Ops 7
Activision has confirmed that next week there will be a free trial of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, with open access to multiplayer and zombies modes. The campaign will remain locked, but all online content will be available without charge, accompanied by a Double XP event to accelerate the progress of those who decide to join during those days.
The company has not yet detailed the exact dates, although the likely range is between December 18 and 19, with an estimated duration of around one week, which would take the trial until the days before Christmas. It’s a move aimed at increasing the player base, strengthening the start of Season 1, and allowing the public to directly assess the work that the studio claims to be doing to make this release one of the most outstanding in its history.
