Forza Horizon 6 is going all-in on clean competition from day one. The new title in the series will arrive with a built-in anti-cheat system specifically designed to protect leaderboards, one of the most sensitive points for the community in previous installments.
For years, many players have pointed out the presence of impossible times and unrealistic scores that remained on the leaderboards for months. With this new policy, the studio wants to cut the problem off at the root and offer a much fairer competitive experience from the very beginning.
Protected Leaderboards and Weekly Resets in Forza Horizon 6
Among the confirmed measures, several important novelties stand out:
-
Automatic removal of unrealistic times from launch
-
Weekly leaderboard resets in the open world
-
New exploit and cheat detection system
The introduction of weekly resets in the open-world leaderboards aims to keep the competition active and dynamic, preventing impossible records from becoming “frozen” for months. Additionally, the new detection system will work in the background to identify abnormal behavior and exploits.
With these decisions, the team behind the series aims to strengthen trust in online competitive play. If the system works as expected, impossible times and unattainable scores should no longer be a common problem in the community.
