This Monday, October 20, 2025, morning has started with problems for millions of players in Spain and other European countries. Fortnite, PlayStation Network, Brawl Stars, and Roblox are currently inaccessible due to a widespread failure in Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, which supports a large part of online video game services.
According to Downdetector data, reports have skyrocketed since 10:30 (Spanish mainland time), also affecting Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect, Clash Royale, Rainbow Six Siege, and even the PlayStation Store. In some cases, users are unable to log in or download digital content.
Global failure in AWS servers affects Fortnite, PSN, and more services
So far, neither Epic Games nor Sony have issued an official statement, although several developers have confirmed that the problem originates from Amazon’s AWS network, whose servers are experiencing interruptions in Europe and parts of America. This not only affects online games but also other digital services and operators that rely on this infrastructure.
In Spain, some players are reporting connection failures through Vodafone, Movistar, and Orange, although everything points to a centralized error in the servers. There is no estimated time for the full service recovery, so it is recommended not to restart consoles or modify network configurations until the companies confirm the complete restoration.
