Koei Tecmo has confirmed that Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake will feature Spanish text from day one. This news comes as a huge relief for fans of the series in Spain and Latin America, as language has always been a crucial factor in fully enjoying a story so rich in atmosphere and mystery.
The remake is set to launch in early 2026 on Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC (Steam). In addition to Spanish, the game will also include other major European languages: English, French, Italian, and German, significantly expanding access to this classic survival horror game.
A renewed survival horror, fully localized into Spanish
The return of the trapped twin sisters to the cursed village will not only feature revamped graphics and sound but will also be fully enjoyable with complete Spanish localization for all text. This guarantees a much more immersive experience for those who don’t want to rely on English in a title that thrives on its dialogue and unsettling atmosphere.
With this move, Koei Tecmo reinforces its commitment to bringing the Fatal Frame / Project Zero series to a global audience. The 2026 launch promises to be one of the biggest moments for fans of Japanese horror, now with the assurance that they can experience it directly in their own language.
