We continue to move forward through February, and with it, we’re getting closer to the next big releases that this year has in store for us, being one of the most exciting and action-packed years in recent memory when it comes to major video games.
We’re also expecting to see a wave of new content for titles that have been on the market for a while and are looking to stay alive for the next few months thanks to new updates packed with new features, with Fallout 76 being one of the best examples.
Bethesda Looks to the Near Future of Fallout 76
This game has had an incredible amount of amazing additions in 2025 in terms of quality and content, so for this year, they’ve committed to bringing us an updated version for the current generation of hardware on Xbox Series X/S consoles.
One thing that doesn’t seem likely to happen soon in Fallout 76 is the crossplay feature to play with friends or users from other platforms, something that is being investigated by the developers, but it’s not expected to arrive anytime soon.
“We’re looking into it and have plans to try to determine what that work will entail for us. It’s just not in our immediate plans. We know players want it.”
Fallout 76 has made a spectacular turnaround since its release, and as of today, it’s one of the best things Bethesda has to offer for playing online with friends, along with The Elder Scrolls Online, so we’ll be keeping an eye out for any new developments that are added throughout 2026.
