Konami has launched an ambitious global campaign to celebrate the 30th anniversary of eFootball, and it does so with a historic addition: Pelé, the legendary Brazilian striker, makes his debut in the saga as a special player. The event includes bonuses, legends, challenges, and even a physical festival in Japan.
Originally launched in 1995 as Winning Eleven (later known as PES), eFootball reaches three decades of history with a celebration that combines exclusive digital content, competitive matches, and prizes for all users.
Pelé Arrives in eFootball for the First Time
During this special campaign, Pelé debuts as an “Epic” player, with a commemorative 30th anniversary card and two unique skills: Phenomenal Finishing and Phenomenal Pass**. Users will be able to sign him and add him to their Dream Team alongside other legends like Johan Cruyff and Ferenc Puskás**.
In addition, users who log in during the event will receive featured players like Lionel Messi and Lamine Yamal**, as well as ten Item Selector objects.

World Festival and Championship 2025 in Tokyo
The first eFootball™ World Festival will take place next Monday, July 21st, at the Belle Salle Shibuya Garden in Tokyo. There will be live matches, exclusive announcements, and the grand final of the eFootball™ Championship 2025, where the world’s best players will compete, such as Ettorito97** (AC Milan) and N_Apriamashvili** (Inter).
Both events can be followed live from all over the world in nine different languages.
