EA has announced the release of patch 1.0.4 for EA Sports FC 26, an update that fixes bugs, improves player behavior, and adjusts some key game systems. Although it’s a minor revision, the development team has confirmed that it includes highly anticipated adjustments by the community, especially regarding PlayStyles and realistic gameplay.
This new patch is already being distributed progressively and affects both the Xbox, PC, and PlayStation console versions. Among the highlights are corrections to shots, physical tackles, and defensive animations, as well as a significant adjustment to the kick-off system in realistic mode.
Main changes in patch 1.0.4 of EA Sports FC 26
- According to EA’s official notes, one of the most important improvements affects players with the Bruiser style, who can now make physical entries more consistently, fixing the bugs that prevented executing this type of action in certain situations.
- In addition, the team has decided to revert the modification in defensive positioning when kicking off introduced in version 1.0.2, although this change only applies to authentic game mode, without affecting competitive mode. They have also fixed precision shots, which in some cases curved in the opposite direction, and Trivela injections, which sometimes activated by mistake instead of the requested shot.
Finally, EA has solved problems with some blocking animations that interrupted defense prematurely, as well as minor improvements to Be A Goalkeeper mode, which now offers a more natural response in saves and clearances.
