Electronic Arts continues to adjust support for its classic games, and now has announced the early closure of the online servers of four Codemasters titles, all of which are focused on driving. Although it was initially planned for March 2026, the company has brought the date forward: the multiplayer will be disconnected permanently on November 8, 2025.
The affected games are DiRT 3, DiRT Showdown, GRID 2, and GRID Autosport, all available on platforms such as Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3. With the closure, all online modes, connected features, global leaderboards, and matchmaking services will disappear.

From that date on, these games will continue to function in local or solo mode, but it will not be possible to access multiplayer mode, nor save times or progress in global rankings. Although these are titles with over a decade of history, many players still use them for online matches or informal tournaments.
This type of decision is part of EA’s plans for maintenance and rationalization of old servers, which in recent years has been withdrawing online support for several less active titles in favor of new releases or active services like F1 24 or EA Sports WRC.
