Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot continues to receive technical support years after its release, and now PC players are about to enjoy a free visual upgrade. Bandai Namco has announced the release of the so-called HD Upgrade, an update that will be available on July 17th on Steam at no extra cost for users who already own the game.
The goal of the patch is to modernize the visual experience and improve overall performance. To showcase the changes, a comparative video has been published that clearly reflects the differences compared to the original version, both in environments and overall fluidity. CyberConnect2 has worked on this technical improvement with the aim of offering a more faithful aesthetic to the anime.
The HD update of Kakarot arrives with graphical improvements and more fluidity
Among the confirmed improvements are:
-
Increased drawing distance in open scenarios
-
Optimized rendering system with cleaner textures and better lighting
-
More stability and responsiveness in character control
-
A visual experience closer to the original anime
All the content of this update will be available from Thursday, July 17th, 2025, only on PC for now. Although it has not been confirmed if it will arrive on consoles, the Steam version will be the first to receive these improvements, completely free for those who already own the game.
