The release of Battlefield 6 is getting closer, but before we dive into real combat, DICE and EA have prepared a testing phase that will take place over several days in August. The good news is that it will be playable on Xbox Series, PC, and PS5, but the bad news is that not everyone will have access from day one.

The beta will be divided into several stages, and the first one will be limited to those with early access. And how do you get it? If you didn’t sign up for the Battlefield Labs program in time, you’ll have to wait a few more days.

Battlefield 6 – Dates, access, and requirements to play the beta

If you signed up for Battlefield Labs back in the day, you don’t need to do anything else. Your account is already set to download the beta as soon as early access opens. And it doesn’t matter if you play on Xbox, PlayStation, or PC: your profile is linked to the content, not the platform.

Here’s the complete calendar you should keep in mind:

• August 7th and 8th: early access only for users registered in Battlefield Labs

• August 9th and 10th: first open beta for the whole world

• August 14th to 17th: second open beta, with no restrictions or codes

An important detail that many take for granted: pre-ordering the game does not give you early access. This time, EA has decided to separate pre-orders from the closed beta, so if you’re not in the testing program, you’ll have to wait until August 9th.
