Over the past few months, many PC gamers have been looking for ways to get the most out of ray tracing without relying solely on the decisions of each developer. In this context, DLSS Swapper has become a staple tool for those who want to fine-tune the upscaling and visual quality of their games.
Now, the application takes a step further with a new update that directly improves the behavior of ray tracing, introducing options that were not previously available in a straightforward way for the end user.
DLSS Swapper adds presets for Ray Reconstruction and aims for FSR 4
Version 1.2.2.0 of DLSS Swapper incorporates specific presets for Ray Reconstruction, the technology that replaces traditional noise reduction systems with more advanced artificial intelligence models. Thanks to these predefined settings, users can quickly change the behavior of ray tracing in compatible games, improving reflections, global illumination, and image stability without manually editing files.
This new feature is especially useful in titles that integrate older or poorly optimized versions of DLSS, as it allows forcing more modern configurations and checking how each preset affects performance and visual quality. Additionally, the update improves DLSS library detection and reduces errors when swapping versions between installed games.
Looking ahead, the tool’s developer has already confirmed that the next major update will focus on FSR 4 and new Ray Regeneration techniques, expanding the program’s scope beyond the NVIDIA ecosystem. If this roadmap is fulfilled, DLSS Swapper could become an even more comprehensive solution for comparing and adjusting upscaling and ray tracing technologies on PC from a single application.
