Just a few days before its official release, the new Delta Force has made it clear that its arrival on consoles is a serious matter. The development studio, Team Jade, has released a trailer specifically for Xbox Series and PS5 consoles, showcasing the game modes, available content, and everything that fans of military shooters can expect from August 19th.
The move doesn’t seem coincidental. The video has appeared just as early access to the Battlefield 6 beta begins, suggesting a clear intention to compete head-to-head for players’ attention. And the truth is that, at least on paper, Delta Force has some strong arguments: it’s free to play, has a war setting, massive multiplayer, and constant updates.
All the details of Delta Force on consoles
The console version of Delta Force will include all the content from the Break Season, which was released on July 9th for PC. This means that from day one on Xbox Series and PlayStation 5, two new maps will be available for the Operations and War modes, as well as access to the new operator Tempest, who can be unlocked for free through the Battle Pass.
Additionally, there will be extra vehicles, new weapons, the cooperative experience Victory Unite, and a comprehensive system of special events that will be updated over time. All of this will be available from August 19th on the Xbox Store and PlayStation Store, in free-to-play format, with no entry cost.
With this strategy, Team Jade — a subsidiary of TiMi Studios — aims to carve out a niche among the genre’s giants and offer an accessible, intense, and attractive alternative for fans of tactical action. Will it be able to stand up to Battlefield 6? We’ll find out soon enough.
