Although its console release seemed to have been left up in the air, Delta Force may be closer than ever to arriving on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The team responsible for the game, Team Jade, has confirmed that the console versions will be available in playable format during an in-person event to be held in Los Angeles from June 30 to July 3.
This in-person event will be key to evaluating the development status of the tactical shooter, which since its announcement has been promoted as a free-to-play multiplayer game focused on realistic military operations. The fact that the PS5 and Xbox versions are going to be publicly playable indicates that development is progressing and may already be in its final stretch.
Delta Force console versions reappear with playable tests in Los Angeles
After a prolonged silence and an indefinite delay, the return of Delta Force to consoles seemed uncertain. However, the physical presence of these editions at a closed event suggests that the development team has overcome the main technical obstacles, and is now seeking direct feedback from players to finalize details before release.
For now, there is no official confirmed release date for the game’s arrival on consoles, but this exhibition in Los Angeles could pave the way for an imminent announcement, either a release window or even a surprise launch if the title is polished enough.
The new Delta Force bets on a competitive, tactical, and free experience, with a multiplayer focus and realistic combat in environments inspired by modern conflicts. If the console tests are positive, we may be facing a new strong contender within the FPS genre. We will be attentive to all announcements at the event, especially if Team Jade decides to take the final step and confirm the arrival of Delta Force on consoles this year.
