CD Projekt RED hasn’t had the last word on Cyberpunk 2077. Although many thought that Phantom Liberty marked the definitive end of the story, the studio confirmed that update 2.3 will be available on June 26, 2025, and will include additional content that will further expand the experience.

This new version will be another step in the evolution of the game, with development handled by Virtuos Studios. The team has emphasized that it’s not just about technical adjustments, but about a update with new playable content and an additional DLC, which is yet to be detailed.

Cyberpunk 2077 2.3: New DLC, Changes, and Continuation

Update 2.3 will be released on Thursday, June 26, and CD Projekt RED has made it clear that it won’t be a minor revision. Glicja Kozera, community manager, explained:

“I can confirm that we’re planning another part for the game, the last one wasn’t the last one.”

Cyberpunk 2077 Has No Limits

This indicates that there will be more story or added features, following the line of previous updates that already incorporated notable improvements. Let’s recall that patch 2.2 brought advanced vehicle customization, new photo mode features, character system tweaks, and a secret mission that was very well received by players.

Version 2.3 promises to continue this trend, with a new downloadable content still without a name and changes that could directly affect gameplay or the open world of Night City. Although the complete list of new features has not been shared yet, it’s expected that more details will be revealed in the coming days, probably before Tuesday.

When and How to Update?

The patch will be available on Thursday, June 26 for all compatible platforms, including Xbox Series, PC, and PlayStation 5. Simply having the game installed and an internet connection will be enough for it to download automatically as soon as it’s available.
