Cyberpunk 2077 will be updated very soon, and this time it’s not CD Projekt RED who’s making the announcement. According to a leaked report published by mistake on The Verge, update 2.3 will be released this Thursday, July 17th, and will include new cars and a new photography mode, among other improvements that have not been revealed yet, with an official announcement coming tomorrow, July 16th.

The post was taken down minutes later, but several users managed to capture part of the content, which revealed some of the features that will be coming to the open-world RPG set in Night City. Although there’s no official announcement yet, it’s expected that CD Projekt RED will confirm all the details this week.
New vehicles and a completely revamped photography mode
The 2.3 patch for Cyberpunk 2077 will include, among other things, new cars for players’ garages, although no specific models or additional details have been revealed yet. What does seem clear is that an updated photography mode will also be added, something that many players have been asking for to capture more versatile and detailed images within the game.
Although the leak doesn’t mention other specific additions, it’s expected that this version will also include technical improvements, balance adjustments, possible interface updates, and additional minor content. It’s worth noting that this will be the first major update since the release of version 2.12, and likely the last before focusing entirely on the upcoming sequel.
CD Projekt RED had already announced a new REDstream for Wednesday, July 16th at 5:00 PM (Spanish mainland time), so it’s very likely that during that broadcast, the complete content of the patch will be officially confirmed.
