The wait for Code Vein 2 is about to get a little more bearable. Bandai Namco has confirmed the arrival of a free demo designed to let players get ahead of one of the game’s most important aspects before its official release.
However, this is not a traditional demo focused on action or the early stages of the story. This trial version has a very specific focus and is designed to hit the ground running on day one.
The Code Vein 2 demo focuses on character creation
The free demo of Code Vein 2, available starting January 23, 2026, will allow access to the character creation editor, one of the highlights of the series. This way, players can design their protagonist in advance and start the adventure without interruptions on launch day.
In addition to the editor, this special version will also provide access to the central hub, allow players to test the photo mode, and explore the MagMell Institute, offering a first look at the game’s tone and atmosphere. This formula has been seen in other recent releases and is particularly useful in titles with such deep customization systems.
The full release of Code Vein 2 is scheduled for January 29, 2026, and this demo presents itself as an ideal way to arrive prepared from the first minute, without wasting time on menus and initial settings.
