Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 keeps racking up accolades. The acclaimed RPG from Sandfall Interactive has taken home the Game of the Year 2025 award at the gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show, one of the most important events of the year for the video game industry in the Asian continent.
The gala, which drew over 206,000 attendees, also served to recognize excellence in various hardware and development categories. But it was the French title that dominated the night with a sweep of awards: Best RPG, Best Game for PC and Consoles, Popular Vote, and the coveted GOTY 2025.

Sandfall Interactive’s debut has solidified its position as one of the biggest phenomena of the year, thanks to its artistic direction, rhythmic combat system, and impeccable technical execution. Since its release, the game has received praise from both critics and players, positioning itself as one of the best modern RPGs and a serious contender for end-of-year awards.
Among the other winners at the event, Monster Hunter Wilds stood out as the best action game, Elden Ring: Nightreign as the best multiplayer, and Death Stranding 2 as the best action-adventure game.
However, it was Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 that stole the show with its impressive performance, confirming that the first GOTY of the year already has a name.
