Over the past few hours, Microsoft has been sending emails to Xbox Game Pass subscribers to notify them of the update to the pricing plans. The notice confirms that the price increase went into effect on October 1, 2025, with a significant impact on Xbox Game Pass Essential (formerly Game Pass Core). Each person receives the notice based on their active subscription.

In Spain, the email states that the annual price will increase from 69.99 € to 71.99 €. Microsoft justifies the adjustment due to “changing market conditions” and reminds users that they can manage or cancel their subscription from their Microsoft account before the next renewal.

The email also reminds users of the benefits of the Essential plan, which still includes:

• Over 50 games available on Xbox consoles, PC, and compatible devices.

• The ability to stream games that the player already owns.

• Exclusive benefits within titles like Call of Duty: Warzone, League of Legends, or Rainbow Six Siege.

• Online multiplayer and full access to Xbox social features.

Microsoft closes the statement by thanking users for their loyalty and reminding them that they can manage or cancel their subscription from the Microsoft account page if they wish.

With this email, the company formalizes the notification of the new prices after the latest restructuring of Xbox Game Pass, which also affected the Premium and Ultimate plans last summer.
