Unexpected blow for Xbox players. Nickelodeon Splat Pack has canceled its Xbox Series version just days before its release, initially scheduled for January 30. This has been confirmed by Limited Run Games, the game’s publisher, which has stated that the collection will no longer be available on Xbox consoles, despite being previously announced for the platform.
The compilation will still be released on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam) on January 30, with a fixed price of $14.99, but Xbox Series users are left out of this edition, with no detailed technical or commercial explanations provided for the cancellation.
Nickelodeon Splat Pack Canceled on Xbox
Nickelodeon Splat Pack is a collection clearly oriented towards nostalgia, bringing together three classic games based on iconic Nickelodeon series:
-
Aaahh!!! Real Monsters (Genesis and Super Nintendo)
-
Nickelodeon G.U.T.S. (Super Nintendo)
-
Rocko’s Modern Life: Spunky’s Dangerous Day (Super Nintendo)
The pack offers very different experiences: classic platformers, sports challenges inspired by the TV show G.U.T.S., and humorous adventures. Precisely because of this retro focus and preservation, the absence of Xbox is particularly striking, especially since its arrival on Xbox Series had been officially confirmed.
For now, Limited Run Games has not left the door open for a later release on Xbox, so everything points to a definitive cancellation. Another setback for Xbox users, who in recent months have already seen some smaller releases or retro collections fall by the wayside.
We’ll have to wait and see if this decision is revised in the future, but as of today, Nickelodeon Splat Pack will not be coming to Xbox.
