The start of October will be especially intense for fans of the saga. The beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will take place from October 2 to 5, 2025, and although access was previously limited to those who had pre-ordered the game, Activision has confirmed a free alternative for those who want to try it out before launch.

The key will be the Call of Duty Next event, scheduled for September 30, where new details about Black Ops 7, Warzone, and the mobile version of the popular shooter will be revealed. As part of the official broadcast, the company will enable a Twitch Drops campaign, rewarding viewers with exclusive items and, most importantly, with an early access code to the beta.

How to get your code

• To get it, you’ll need to meet a single requirement: watch at least 60 minutes of the official Twitch broadcast on September 30. Once you’ve completed that time, Twitch will notify you that you’ve unlocked the reward.
• After that, you’ll just need to access your Twitch inventory to claim the code. This first code is generic, and by entering it on the official Call of Duty website, you’ll be able to select your preferred platform: PC, PlayStation, or Xbox. Once you’ve done that, you’ll receive a second, platform-specific code that will activate the beta on your system.

A second chance to play before launch

Although Twitch Drops are the most accessible way, it won’t be the only way to enjoy the beta. Activision is keeping the option open to access the beta by pre-ordering Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, something many players have already done to secure entry without relying on schedules.

Either way, the beta will serve as a preview of one of the most anticipated releases of the year and will offer the first opportunity to test the multiplayer on Xbox consoles.
