Borderlands receives new permanent SHIFT codes for golden and diamond keys

Gearbox keeps its SHIFT code system active, a tool that continues to give away extra content to Borderlands players. Thanks to these codes, it’s possible to unlock golden and diamond keys, which can be used to open chests filled with high-level weapons and items in any of the main titles in the series, including Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.

These codes can be redeemed from the official shift.gearboxsoftware.com page or from the game’s menu itself, and many of them have no expiration date, making them an ideal resource for any player who returns to the series in the future.

Active SHIFT codes

• W9W33-59FTX-5ZTX5-9TTBB-3B5JF → 5 diamond keys (no expiration date).

In addition to these rewards, several permanent codes to unlock special skins and heads for characters in Borderlands 3 are still active, adding an extra touch of customization to the Vault Hunters.

How to redeem SHIFT codes (step by step)

1) Prepare your account

1. Create/Login to your SHiFT account at shift.gearboxsoftware.com.

2. In Profile/Connections, link your Xbox, PlayStation, and/or PC (Steam/Epic) accounts.

3. Confirm your email if requested. Without linking, rewards will not reach the game.

2) Redeem from the web (recommended method)

1. Enter shift.gearboxsoftware.com (from mobile or computer).

2. Go to Rewards / Redeem Code.

3. Paste the code and choose the correct game (e.g., Borderlands 3, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, etc.).

4. Press Redeem.

5. Open the connected game and collect the reward (see “Where to collect keys” section).

3) Redeem from the game (alternative)

• Borderlands 3 / Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

  1. Main menu → Social → SHiFT tab.

  2. Enter the code and confirm.

  3. Go to Social → Mail to claim the reward.

• Borderlands 2 / The Pre-Sequel / Borderlands 1 GOTY Enhanced

  1. Main menu → Extras / SHiFT Code.

  2. Enter the code and confirm.

  3. If you don’t see the keys immediately, save and exit and re-enter your game.

4) Where to collect keys and how to use them

• Golden Keys: they are added to your game counter. Use them in the golden chest in the HUB (e.g., Sanctuary / Sanctuary III in BL2/BL3 or Brighthoof in Wonderlands).

• Diamond Keys: available in Borderlands 3 and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. After redeeming, claim them in the Mail (Social → Mail) and spend them in the Diamond Room to get high-quality gear.

Quick tips

• Copy/paste codes to avoid confusing S with 5 or B with 8.

• If the message says “Already Redeemed”, you’ve already used it on that account.

• If it says “Invalid/Expired”, try again later due to possible SHiFT downtime or because the code has expired.

• If you redeem on the web with the game open, restart or return to the main menu to force synchronization.

• Some codes are permanent and others are temporary; redeem them as soon as possible.
