The fourth numbered installment of the Borderlands saga is getting closer to its release, and along with the excitement for the launch, Gearbox has already shared the post-launch content roadmap for the first few months. The studio promises both free and paid expansions that will expand the experience with new missions, legendary equipment, bosses, and even a new Vault Hunter arriving in 2026.
The content will kick off in September 2025 with the game’s official release and will extend throughout the first quarter of 2026. All of this is part of the commitment to keep the community active with weekly updates and periodic major expansions.
