Borderlands 4 is giving away a drone skin for watching 30 minutes on Twitch: follow these steps

Players will be able to get the Echo-4 design for free by watching Twitch streams for a limited time.

Gearbox has launched a new Twitch Drops campaign for Borderlands 4, allowing players to unlock an exclusive cosmetic skin for the Echo-4 drone. To get it, simply watch official game streams on Twitch for 30 minutes, with your Xbox account linked to SHiFT and Twitch.

The promotion will be available for several weeks and is part of the pre-launch campaign for the new game in the series.

How to get the Echo-4 skin for free in Borderlands 4

• Promotion dates: from August 29th at 7:00 PM (Spanish mainland time) to September 30th at 8:59 AM.

  • In Mexico City: from August 29th at 12:00 PM to September 29th at 11:59 PM.

  • In Argentina: from August 29th at 2:00 PM to September 30th at 2:59 AM.

  • In Chile: from August 29th at 1:00 PM to September 30th at 1:59 AM.

• What to do: watch any Borderlands 4 stream on Twitch (official channel or Gearbox) for 30 minutes.

• Reward: skin for the ECHO-4 “Watch, Drop, and Roll” drone.

• Requirements:

  • Link your Twitch and SHiFT accounts.

  • Claim the reward on Twitch within 24 hours.

  • Have Borderlands 4 to receive the item at launch.

Step by step:

• Create / log in to your SHiFT account
  Go to the SHiFT website and log in (or register for free). It’s the account that links your rewards to your game profile.

• Link SHiFT to your Xbox account
  In your SHiFT profile, connect the platform where you’ll play (Xbox). If you also plan to play on PC (Steam/Epic), you can link them as well.

• Connect SHiFT to your Twitch account
  On the same SHiFT connections page, authorize Twitch. Accept the permissions when the confirmation window opens.

• Enable Drops on Twitch
  On Twitch (web or app), log in with your account and make sure Twitch Drops is enabled in Settings → Drops and Badges.

• Choose a valid stream
  Open any stream in the “Borderlands 4” category (official game channel or Gearbox). Check the chat panel to ensure the stream has Drops enabled.

• Watch for 30 minutes
  Keep the stream open and logged in. You’ll see a Drops progress bar in your Twitch Inventory (Profile → Drops and Badges → Inventory).

• Redeem on Twitch (max. 24 hours)
  When it reaches 100%, go to your Twitch Inventory and click “Claim”. If you don’t do it within 24 hours, you’ll lose the reward.

• Receive the skin in the game
  The ECHO-4 “Watch, Drop, and Roll” design will be delivered to your account after the launch of Borderlands 4 (it will be linked to the SHiFT account you used to claim).

This type of campaign has become Gearbox’s usual way of rewarding the most active community, offering exclusive rewards to those who closely follow game streams before its release.
