Borderlands 4: Here are the first Shift codes for Skeleton Keys

One of them is permanent, and the other will be active only until the end of the month, take advantage and win prizes in Borderlands 4.

Borderlands 4 has wasted no time in rolling out the classic rewards of the saga. Although the game has just arrived on consoles, Gearbox has already activated the first Shift codes, allowing players to unlock the first Skeleton Keys of the game from today.

These keys allow you to open special chests with legendary loot, and although they can only be used once per code, you can redeem them on all platforms where you have your Shift account linked.

How to redeem Borderlands 4 Shift codes

You can do it from the game menu or, if you prefer, more quickly from the official Shift website:

1. Log in with your Shift account.

2. Go to the Rewards section.

3. Enter the code.

4. Select your primary platform and redeem.

First Borderlands 4 Shift codes (September 2025)

Here are the two first codes shared officially:

• T9RJB-BFKRR-3RBTW-B33TB-KCZB9 (permanent code)

• THRBT-WW6CB-56TB5-3B3BJ-XBW3X (valid until September 30, 2025, at 09:00, Spanish mainland time)

Both codes grant a Skeleton Key to open the special chest of rare loot within the game. It is expected that Gearbox will continue to publish new codes in the coming days and weeks, as is tradition in the saga.

Important tip: don’t use the Skeleton Keys yet if you’ve just started. The chest’s content scales with your level, so it’s recommended to save them for later, when your stats are more advanced and the equipment you get is much more valuable.
