For months, the community has been showing steady progress on a highly improved version of the FromSoftware classic, designed to be enjoyed on PC with far superior performance and visual quality compared to the original. Now, that work has finally taken a decisive step: the mod has a definitive name and is available for public download.
While there’s still no official word from Sony on a re-release or adaptation for new platforms, this project has become the most solid alternative for those who want to revisit Yharnam with current technical standards.
Bloodborne Remastered for PC is now available for download as Shadows of the Hunt
The mod is now called Bloodborne Shadows of the Hunt, a name that clearly identifies this unofficial version of Bloodborne designed exclusively for PC. It’s an amateur work, but with a level of polish that has surprised even the most veteran players.
Among its improvements are a completely revised lighting system, higher quality materials and textures, and the ability to play at 60 frames per second or more, something unthinkable in the original PS4 version. The result is a much more fluid and visually impactful experience, without altering the game’s design or pace.
The download is now available through NexusMods, one of the most well-known portals in the modding community. From their official page, you can get all the necessary files, with an approximate size of 15 GB, and the installation process is designed to be relatively simple for users with basic experience in this type of content.
While waiting for an official decision from Sony and FromSoftware, Shadows of the Hunt consolidates as the best way to enjoy this title on PC, demonstrating once again the talent of the community when a project sparks so much passion.
