Bloober Team, the minds behind Silent Hill 2 Remake, have confirmed that the remake of the first Silent Hill is now in full production. This news comes from a meeting with investors held on September 30, where the Polish studio reviewed its current projects and future plans.
The studio, known for its work in the horror genre with titles like Layers of Fear, The Medium, and Blair Witch, considers this project a significant step in their close collaboration with Konami, following the successful revival of the second installment in the series.
Silent Hill 1 Remake is Underway
Although no specific release dates or confirmed platforms have been announced, the company made it clear that the Silent Hill 1 remake is progressing at a good pace. This title is a key part of Bloober Team’s new catalog, as the studio aims to maintain its position as a leader in modern horror.
This news comes shortly after the release of Cronos: The New Dawn, their new sci-fi horror IP, which sold over 200,000 digital copies in just three days after its launch in September. This success reinforces the company’s confidence in its ability to handle large-scale productions, both original and collaborative.
With Silent Hill 1 Remake, Konami and Bloober Team are aiming to revive one of the greatest survival horror classics, adapting it to current standards and bringing it back to life after all these years.
